The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the CEB Award for Social Cohesion today. The Award honours organisations and individuals dedicated to driving social change and addressing critical issues in their communities, thereby fostering greater social cohesion across Europe.
The prize features a €45,000 contribution to the winning initiative, along with an additional €10,000 to be split equally between two other shortlisted projects.
“I’m incredibly proud to present the 6th edition of our Award for Social Cohesion. We have already seen what a tangible difference it can make for the winning projects, allowing them to expand their activities and have a bigger impact in the communities they serve,” said CEB Governor Carlo Monticelli.
Eligibility
The competition is open to organisations and individuals over the age of 18, based in one of the CEB’s 43 member countries.
Eligibility for the Award includes individuals, non-government organisations, social enterprises, and community groups that have created and implemented projects with a high social impact. Projects that foster inclusion of vulnerable groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
Nominations will be assessed on their social impact, sustainability and innovation by a panel of CEB staff with expertise in project management, sustainability, monitoring and evaluation. The most promising shortlisted projects will be reviewed by an independent Jury of eminent experts.
