On official visit in Liechtenstein on 29 October, Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland held meetings with Prime Minister Adrian Hasler, Speaker of Parliament Albert Frick and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Justice and Culture Aurelia Frick, as well as with the delegation to the Council of Europe parliamentary Assembly.
In the context of the upcoming celebration, in November, of Liechtenstein’s 40 years of membership with the Council of Europe, discussions covered the co-operation between Liechtenstein and the Organisation, the fundamental role of the Council of Europe, in particular in the field of democratic security, and the challenges it is currently facing.
