Deputy Secretary General Bjørn Berge has met Carlo Nordio, the Minister of Justice of Italy. The meeting focused on the accountability for the Russian aggression against Ukraine, notably regarding the Register of Damage for Ukraine. They also discussed other ongoing initiatives in this context, such as the informal Ministers of Justice conference “Towards Accountability for International Crimes Committed in Ukraine” in Lithuania (4-5 September 2024).
Other topics on the agenda included the new Framework Convention on AI that will be opened for signature soon and the implementation of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
