Igor Lakić is Full Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro. He has been a member of the Committe of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages since 2008. He is a linguist and his research interests include discourse analysis, genre analysis, English syntax and sociolinguistics. He published three linguistic monographs and co-edited a monograph published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. He published chapters and papers in national and international monographs and journals. He was a member of the Council for General Education of Montenegro and a member of the Council for Codification of the Montenegrin Language. He is President of the Society of Applied Linguistics of Montenegro.
