On 15-17 April, the Department for the Execution of Judgments hosted a study visit of members of the Government Agent’s Office and of the Ministry of Justice of Romania.
The visit allowed for in-depth exchanges on the mechanism of supervision of execution of the European Court’s judgments, the Committee of Ministers’ relevant rules, working methods and practice as well as best practices in preparing action plans and reports. The discussions also focused on remaining questions in some cases concerning Romania which are pending for execution.
The work of the Programme on Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) and the Unit for Cooperation in Police and Deprivation of Liberty was also presented.
