Secretary General Jagland today met Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen, ahead of the Danish Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers.
Topics of discussion included the threat of terrorism and the attack in St Petersburg, the situation in Turkey and the debate about the European Convention on Human Rights in Denmark. The implementation of the Convention is a key topic of the Danish Chairmanship from November 2017 to May 2018. The Secretary General Jagland and Foreign Minister Samuelsen concluded they were looking forward to a constructive discussion about the Convention and positive results of the Chairmanship.
