Zurück Meeting of the Governance Committee in Orleans

The members of the Governance Committee of the Congress will meet in the premises of the Regional Council Centre-Val de Loire in Orleans, on 7 June 2016. They will examine, in particular, a draft report on “Preventing corruption and promoting public ethics at local and regional levels”. This report presents a roadmap of Congress’ activities in matters of corruption and public ethics and is broken down into three complementary areas: deepening its work in 6 thematic reports, revising the European Code of Conduct on the political integrity of local and regional representatives, and developing its cooperation activities in this field. The members of the Governance Committee will also hold an exchange of views on transfrontier taxation with the former President of the Congress, Claude Haegi. Finally the committee discuss the work programme of the Committee and examine draft terms of reference for three new reports : “Making public procurement transparent at local and regional level”; “Misuse of administrative resources in electoral processes”; and “Financial compensation of local and regional elected representatives in the exercise of their office”.
