Zurück Spain : the Ministry of Culture and Sports launches an app on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Spain

On 18 April 2023, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Spain launched a new App on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Spain.

The aim of the App is to promote the sustainable development of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in Spain, and to encourage the improvement of the competitiveness of the cultural sector through the use of new technologies at the service of the dissemination of the different certified routes in Spain. At the same time, it serves as a new communication channel for citizens, visitors and tourists, establishing a new tool for social dynamisation and knowledge of the Programme.

Spain is a member State of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe since 2011. There are currently 5 certified Cultural Routes with headquarters in Spain and 25 Cultural Routes crossing the country.

Mr. Sergio ORTEGA, Head of the Heritage Protection and European Programmes Service of the Management and Coordination of Cultural Assets of the Ministry of culture and sport of Spain is the national representatives of Spain to the EPA on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.
