- The Tarnogórska Land Lovers Association (est. 1953) is one of the oldest NGOs in Poland. The Association manages the Historic Silver Mine World Heritage Site. It also organises international artistic plein-airs, exhibitions, meetings and conferences, and initiated numerous researches related to the history of the Tarnów region.
The Historic Silver Mine is an interactive underground museum dedicated to the silver, lead and zinc ore extraction process, as well as underground mine drainage. Outside the buildings of Historic Silver Mine there is an Open Air Steam Engine Museum.
The Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
