Thomas is Interim Director of Minority Rights Group International. MRG has supported many civil society organisations to research and submit shadow reports under the Council of Europe Framework Convention on National Minorities over the past twenty years. MRG has also provided training for CSOs working on minority issues to advocate nationally and internationally on minority rights and discrimination calling for implementation measure to address shortfalls and problems. MRG maintains a Directory of the World's Minorities and Indigenous Peoples which many users turn to in order to find out information about a particular state record or a particular community. MRG has a very broad network of minority based and inter-ethnic partner organisations and promotes the voices of minorities in debates and decision making.
