On 10-11 October 2024, the Committee of Experts on Intercultural Inclusion (ADI-INT) held its 6th meeting in Strasbourg, France.

The ADI-INT continued its work on developing tools on intercultural integration and inclusion to support member states in their implementation of Recommendation CM/Rec(2022)10 on multilevel policies and governance for intercultural integration. The Committee discussed the first draft of a “Guidance document on strategies for inclusion in the fields under the responsibility of the Steering Committee on Anti-Discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion (CDADI)” and provided directions on further work.

Members also heard updates on the implementation of ongoing projects with a multilevel governance element in Cyprus and Finland by the project teams and beneficiaries. Furthermore, the Committee members continued their discussions about the creation of a tool to promote multilevel governance and the progress made in its development.

There was also a presentation on the Anti-rumours methodology which was developed by the Intercultural Cities (ICC) Programme. The presentation showcased success stories from various governance levels where it has successfully been implemented, including the first national Anti-rumours Action Plan prepared by Malta.

The Committee also heard a presentation from UNHCR updating the participants on their activities in Europe,  and held an exchange of views with the representative of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe.

The Committee of Experts on Intercultural Inclusion (ADI-INT) is composed of representatives of national, regional and local governments of Council of Europe member and observer states, and of international governmental and non-governmental organisations.
