Erlangen City Council adopted unanimously the Lisbon Declaration “Urban policies for inclusive migrant integration and diversity advantage”. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the Intercultural Cities Network adopted the Declaration at the end of the Milestone event held in Lisbon in November 2017.
In this text, the participating municipalities and regions expressed their commitment to contribute to an open and inclusive society, by resolutely opposing discrimination in the provision of public services and developing an inclusive design.
Migrant and refugee inclusion is not only a way of ensuring human rights but also a better quality of life for all.
