From 27 to 30 November, the Council of Europe Roma and Travellers Team and the OSCE/ODIHR Contact Point on Roma and Sinti Issues organised a training of trainers based on the joint training curriculum for Member States to improve policy responses to the situation of Roma, Sinti and Traveller communities and to counter prejudice, negative stereotyping and discrimination by law enforcement.
The training course brought together police officers, trainers from police academies, from national law enforcement agencies and legal experts from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, North Macedonia, Romania and the United Kingdom. The event aimed at equipping the participants with necessary tools to deliver, upon requests from states, training courses based on the joint training.
