During the meeting, significant discussions were held regarding the adoption of new Terms of Reference of the mandate of the Working Group, who will take integrate the efforts in line with the role of the Campaign Committee, as foreseen by the Journalists Matter Campaign. The Group brings together relevant actors from the Bosnia and Herzegovina administration systems, including journalists' representatives, who have a common goal of advancing the cause of media freedom and safety of journalists.
By fostering a cooperative environment among various sectors and institutions, the project will contribute significantly to the implementation of the Journalists Matter Campaign, aiming to create a safer and more supportive landscape for journalists, who play a vital role in upholding democracy and freedom of expression in the country.
The EFEx project is implemented by the Council of Europe and funded through voluntary contribution of Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The activities within the project are instrumental in reinforcing institutional capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
