On 20-21 September 2021 the Committee of Experts on Freedom of Expression and Digital Technologies (MSI-DIG) held its meeting via videoconference. MSI-DIG members and other participants had a constructive discussion of the revised Draft recommendation on the impacts of digital technologies on freedom of expression, following the public consultations held in June and July. The MSI-DIG finalised and approved the Draft recommendation. Furthermore, the MSI-DIG welcomed the adoption by the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society of the Guidance note on content moderation elaborated by the Expert Committee in the spring.
