The Steering Committee on Media and Information Society (CDMSI) invites comments from the public on the draft recommendation by the Committee of Ministers to member States on the impacts of digital technologies on freedom of expression.

The draft text was prepared by one of the CDMSI’s subordinate bodies - the Committee of Experts on Freedom of Expression and Digital Technologies (MSI-DIG). The experts will meet again in September to review all comments received and to finalise the draft, ahead of its review by the CDMSI and submission to the Committee of Ministers for eventual adoption.
