This week is a great opportunity to encourage intercultural dialogue and understanding between Sherbrooke residents of all backgrounds and origins. Each year, a wide range of free activities are offered to the population. During the SSRI, organised by the city, activities such as the following are held :
- The Business Souk: organised by Pro-gestion Estrie (a paramunicipal organisation of the city), this event welcomes immigrants who have taken the path of entrepreneurship for their professional integration. We discover their career paths, their products and services and the steps they have taken to realise their projects, whether in the catering, food, sports or beauty sectors, among others.
- The immigrant entrepreneur panels, which help to define the challenges related to entrepreneurship for people of immigrant background and the solutions that should be put in place.
