Two policy briefs produced within the Intercultural Cities (ICC) Programme are now available in Finnish. The first one, “Building meaningful public participation in Intercultural cities – A guide to the appreciative inquiry approach”,  is mainly intended for local authorities and practitioners involved in the various stages of participatory processes, from the initial planning to evaluation. It invites the reader to reflect on the meaning of co-construction in practice, on how to generate group dynamics based on social participation principles such as equality and mutual respect, and on the factors necessary for long-term sustainability of such processes.

The second brief “Identifying and preventing systemic discrimination at the local level", was designed to support policymakers with key policy lines and strands of practice required to address systemic discrimination.

Both documents were translated into Finnish within the European Union/Council of Europe joint project “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland”.
