3. Les procédures de PMA sont-elles prises en charge par le système de sécurité sociale ? Oui. L’infertilité est considérée comme un état pathologique touchant le couple.
4. Cette prise en charge est-elle soumise à des critères particuliers (par exemple, infertilité, limite d’âge) ? Oui. Les critères sont les mêmes que ceux qui donnent au couple le droit de bénéficier d’une PMA. Ils englobent l’impossibilité de traiter la stérilité par d’autres moyens, l’âge approprié pour assumer une grossesse (l’âge limite supérieur pour la femme est fixé à 43 ans) et les futures responsabilités parentales, ainsi que la nécessité d’éviter la transmission d’une maladie génétique grave.
5. Le nombre de procédures de PMA prises en charge est-il limité (par exemple, uniquement trois tentatives de FIV) ? Oui. Quatre procédures de FIV, au maximum, sont prises en charge. Les taux de grossesse obtenus figurent parmi les plus élevés d’Europe, bien que depuis 1999, deux embryons au maximum sont transférés pour une procédure de PMA.
