On 12 October, the Council of Europe held the Workshop “The right to access State-held information - Council of Europe standards” in the framework of the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference organised by the OSCE. Discussions focused on the standards of the Council of Europe Convention on Access to Official Documents (CETS No.205), also known as the Tromsø Convention, and the work of its monitoring bodies. The Panel of speakers included two members of the Council of Europe Access Info Group, Professor. dr.jur Emeritus Inge Lorange Backer and Dr. Þórdís Ingadóttir, Mr Krzysztof Kosowicz, senior lawyer at the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights, and Ms Elona Hoxhaj representing the International Conference of Information Commissioners.
