A study visit was organised exchange information about the Italian judicial system by visiting high court and other judicial institutions in Rome, Italy between 24-28 October 2022, within the scope of the Joint Project on “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Court of Cassation”.
A delegation of 19 persons, including the chamber presidents, bench members, Deputy Secretary General, rapporteur judges, and public prosecutors of the Court of Cassation, along with representatives from the Council of Europe, learned and exchanged on best judicial practices, as well as the training programmes designed for the judiciary and other stakeholders in Italy.
The delegation received in-depth information by examining and comparing different approaches on the general legal framework and structure of courts in terms of judicial efficiency, quality and, in particular, consistency of case law during the study visit.
The Joint Project on “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Court of Cassation” is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and the Court of Cassation of Türkiye is the end beneficiary of the Project.
