A study visit to France was organised from 12 to 16 June 2023 in the framework of the Joint Project "Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Court of Cassation". The visit was attended by a delegation of 15 people, including the bench members, the Deputy Secretary General, rapporteur judges and public prosecutors of the Court of Cassation.
During the visits to the Court of Cassation, the Constitutional Council, the Court of Appeal and the French National School for the Judiciary (École nationale de la magistrature), the delegation had productive dialogue with their French counterparts on the judicial system of the high courts and quality and efficiency of justice in France. The study visit provided the opportunity for an exchange on best judicial practices and training programmes for the judiciary and other stakeholders.
The Joint Project on “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Court of Cassation” is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and the Court of Cassation of Turkey is the end beneficiary of the Project.
