On 13-14 June 2019 in Ankara the third Working Group meeting on the development of a human rights training programme for lawyers was held under the Joint Project on Strengthening the Capacity of Bar Associations and Lawyers on European Human Rights Standards (SCoBAL).
All stakeholders of the Project, including civil society representatives, examined each module of the training programme prepared by national consultants together with international ones. The members of the working group assessed and discussed the developed content of trainings and proposed methodology. The future trainers will get the special handbook being developed under the Project, which will provide clear and practical guidelines for them on the interactive methodology of the trainings on human rights.
Under the Project the Union of Turkish Bar Association together with the Council of Europe will train 5000 lawyers on human rights across Turkey.
