Lawyers from the Zonguldak Bar Association Enhance Their Knowledge on Individual Application before the Constitutional Court

A total of 26 lawyers from the Zonguldak Bar Association participated in a two-day training on Procedures of Individual Application before the Constitutional Court.

The training covered key topics, such as the exhaustion of domestic remedies, deadlines for lodging applications, manifestly ill-founded applications and other admissibility criteria for the application lodged before the Constitutional Court. The training sessions were led by experienced lawyers and trainers who had previously completed the Project’s “Training of trainers” programme.

Participants appreciated the in-depth and interactive discussions on various topics, including the formal requirements for submitting an individual application, inadmissibility criteria, rights not eligible as standalone claims, application procedures, common procedural errors and the grounds for  rejection of individual complaints.

The Joint Project on “Supporting the Effective Implementation of Turkish Constitutional Court Judgments in the Field of Fundamental Rights” is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. The Turkish Constitutional Court is the end beneficiary of the Project.
