Second phase of training of trainers planned to strengthen the capacities of lawyers on individual application system and fundamental rights and freedoms have been completed. Second phase training was delivered for the second group on 13-15 October 2017 in Ankara while the second phase training of the third and last groups was organized on 27-29 October 2017 in Ankara. The training delivered by national academics and observed by rapporteurs from the Constitutional Court focused on “application procedure” and “admissibility criteria”. Training sessions were delivered in cooperation with the Union of Turkish Bar Associations.
Training of trainers which focused on “human rights” in the first phase and “application procedure” and “admissibility criteria” in the second phase has been completed with the participation of nearly 110 lawyers. Lawyers who completed their training will deliver training for their colleagues on individual application procedure and admissibility in local training sessions. The target is to reach 3000 lawyers throughout Turkey with training sessions to be organized at the end of 2017 and during 2018.
