Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labour exploitation has been on the rise and has emerged as the predominant form of exploitation in some European countries. The Compendium of Good Practices in Addressing Trafficking in Human Beings for the Purpose of Labour Exploitation aims to highlight effective measures taken by State which are party to the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings to prevent and combat trafficking for the purpose of labour exploitation, and to provide a basis for discussion on the issue and guidance for future efforts. The compendium will serve as the basis of a related guidance note, which is being prepared by GRETA as part of the implementation of the Secretary General’s Roadmap on strengthening action against trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labour exploitation.
