Training of Trainers on the Right to a Fair Trial and Reasonable Time

The third training of trainers (ToT) activity was held in Sapanca-Sakarya between 31 January and 3 February with the participation of 20 judges from the Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Muğla and Samsun First Instance and Regional Administrative Courts, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court and the Council of Judges and Prosecutors. The 4-day training on the Right to a Fair Trial and Reasonable Time (Module 3) was delivered by an adult education expert (international consultant Maria Marinova), a measurement and evaluation expert (Prof Dr Hasan Atak) and module writers (Prof Dr Sibel İnceoğlu, Dr Erkan Duymaz and Dr Yusuf Sertaç Serter).

The training of trainers programme aimed to equip the participants with an improved understanding of adult education and training techniques. To this end, besides the sessions on education methodology, 8 sessions of a model training on the Right to a Fair Trial and Reasonable Time were delivered.

Following the training of trainers, cascade training will be initiated.
