On 9 June 2022, the kick-off meeting of the new project "Enhancing anti-trafficking actions" took place in Pristina. The project builds on the recommendations of the Council of Europe's GRETA report published in 2021.

Among the partners and beneficiaries participating in the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs/National Coordinator against Human Trafficking, Mr  Blerim Gashani, the Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Agron Qalaj, and His Excellency the Ambassador of Ireland, Mr. Ronan Gargan, underlined the importance of joint actions in the prevention of trafficking in human beings and the protection of victims of trafficking.

Through this project, the Council of Europe continues to support local institutions to fight against trafficking in human beings and to protect people in vulnerable situations.
