The Committee of the Parties of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings is composed of the representatives in the Committee of Ministers of the Parties to the Convention and of representatives of Parties non-members of the Council of Europe.

 Recommendations to Parties

The Committee of the Parties may, on the basis of the report and conclusions of the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA), make recommendations to a Party concerning the measures to be taken as a follow-up to GRETA’s Report.

 Chair and Vice-Chair

The Committee of the Parties elects a Chair and Vice-Chair for a term of office of one year, renewable once. On 21 June 2024, Maria Spassova, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the Council of Europe, was re-elected as Chair for a second term of office, and Sini Paukkunen-Mykkänen, Permanent Representative of Finland, as Vice-Chair for a first term of office of one year.

 Election of GRETA members

On 24 October 2013, the Committee of Ministers adopted Resolution CM/Res(2013)28 on rules on the election procedure of the members of the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA).
