The two nature reserves Bullerö and Långviksskär make up a magnicificent part of the Swedish archipelago outside Stockholm. Together the reserves cover more than 1 200 islands, islets and rocks. The birdlife is rich with more than 100 different species. The flora is typical for the archipelago and on some of the islands the open meadows are grazed. In parts of the reserves older archipelago buildings have been carefully renovated. The purpose of the nature reserves is to preserve a genuin part of the outer archipelago with high natural and cultural values and to promote outdoor recreation. |
