Back Lack of protection of the Scottish Wildcat (Felis silvestris)

The complaint was submitted in 2020 by the Wildcat Haven Community Interest Company on the protection of wildcats (Felis silvestris) in Scotland, which is protected under Appendix II of the Bern Convention. According to the complainant, the wildcat is not sufficiently protected due to failings in both the legal and administrative arrangements at national level, as well as due to low enforcement of existing measures.
