The complaint was submitted by the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Centre in 2011 denouncing a possible breach of the Bern Convention with regards to the management of the Wolf (Canis lupus) in Ukraine, a species listed in Appendix II to the Convention. More concretely, the complainant denounced the lack of regulation with regards to the shooting of the species, as well as the illegal trade of wolves’ skins.
