Opinion N° 7 on justice and society
In 2005, the Consultative Council of European Judges adopted opinion No. 7 on "justice and society".
In this regard, the CCJE proposed that the following points which appear in the Framework Global Action Plan for Judges in Europe be considered:
- the educational role of the courts in a democracy, relations with the public;
- relations with all those involved in court proceedings;
- accessibility, simplification and clarity of the language used by the courts in proceedings and decisions.
This work was carried out on the basis of the replies by delegations to a questionnaire on "justice and society".
