Launching of the webpage dedicated to the European Convention on Information on Foreign Law and its Additional Protocol

A webpage aiming to facilitate the implementation of the European Convention on Foreign Law (ETS No.62) and its Additional Protocol (ETS No. 97) is now available on the CDCJ’s website. These instruments are meant primarily to provide mechanisms whereby information on foreign law can be obtained by a state party from another state party when this is made necessary to resolve disputes. This webpage contains several tools to simplify exchanges of information on foreign law between states parties such as a practical guide on the conventional mechanisms, standard forms for requests and replies available for download, the contact details of the authorities competent to request information and to deal with such requests, a list of states parties to these two instruments as well as a rubric with FAQs.
