A grant award procedure is now open under the Democratic Development, Decentralisation and Good Governance in Armenia – Phase II Project to support the development of feasibility studies into inter-municipal co-operation, or cross-border co-operation in Armenia.
All 64 consolidated communities in Armenia are eligible and encouraged to apply. Successful municipalities will receive grants for undertaking a feasibility study for the delivery of shared services in the frames of either inter-municipal co-operation, or cross-border co-operation.
The information gathered in feasibility studies will support evidence-based-policy development and serve as guidelines for local authorities to implement innovative actions.
Following the feasibility studies about 6 projects will be selected for additional funding to effectively implement the initiative identified in the study.
The grant applications to be received will be assessed by the Evaluation Committee, composed of representatives of the Council of Europe, RoA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and local government association, in accordance with the criteria set in the Call.
