Two conferences were held in Greece to launch the Best Practice Programme (BPP) on 24 and 25 October 2016. The BPP will aim at identifying, publicly recognising and disseminating best practices on local economic development in the fields of agriculture, tourism, renewable energy and new technology. The activity is part of the technical assistance jointly provided by the EU and the CoE to the Greek Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction to strengthen local governments in Greece.
The Conferences were organised with the support of the Hellenic Agency for Local Development and Local Government to present the BPP tool, its themes and the related application form to Greek Mayors.
