The Centre of Expertise has started the first phase of the PEB activity to strengthen the transparency and legality of public administration at local level in Greece.
On 19 October representatives of Larissa and Skyros started familiarising with Council of Europe tools to analyse the corruption risks in specific administrative procedures carried out by local government. Between November and December the Centre of Expertise will organise a number of consultations to assist the stakeholders with the development of service cards to parameterise and assess the likelihood of corruption risks.
The outcomes of this analysis will inform the development of Greek benchmarks on public ethics to be implemented in fifteen municipalities in early 2018.
