The Centre of Expertise is supporting the democratic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the organisation of Stage 2 of the Leadership Academy Programme.

Mayors and senior elected officials from municipalities across the country are gathered in Sarajevo to improve leadership skills based on the 12 Principles of Good Governance.

This activity is organised in close cooperation with the associations of municipalities from the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will serve to inform development of a project to promote good governance through local self-government reform in the context of a future Council of Europe Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina .
