The Council of Europe in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior in Lithuania and Dainava Training Centre – a national implementing partner, is organising a 3-day long training under the Leadership Academy Programme (LAP) on 11-13 February 2020 in Druskininkai, Lithuania. 20 mayors and other senior staff of local authorities will receive training to improve institutional leadership skills and increase awareness and understanding of principles of good governance and civil participation in decision-making processes. Two additional trainings for the local leaders will take place in April and June 2020.

In addition to the Leadership Academy, in the frame of the joint CoE-EU Project “Delivering Good Governance in Lithuania”, a second Programme Board meeting will be held on 10 February, in Vilnius. Members of the Board will meet to discuss and agree on next steps under the project.
