The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance, in cooperation with Partners for Democratic Change Slovakia, has begun the implementation of the Leadership Academy Programme (LAP), as part of the CoE – EU joint project “Delivering Good Governance in Slovakia”. In the first round, a Training of Trainers will be organised on content and methodology for the delivery of training sessions for local authorities. The Slovak trainers and experts will also fine-tune the Council of Europe training materials to the national context.

The training will be held online, between 17 and 28 April 2020. It will be followed by three training sessions for mayors and other local officials with modules on institutional leadership for good governance, strategy and capacity-building.

The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance is currently developing a new module on leadership in times of crisis, addressing the challenges posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
