Romanian mayors from different regions and representing all three levels of local self-government (communes, towns and cities/municipalities) gathered in Bucharest, Romania to complete the final stage of the Leadership Academy Programme (LAP). The first round of Leadership Academy Programme in Romania has been implemented in cooperation with the National Institute of Administration (INA).

The closing event held on 21 November was an opportunity for the Centre of Expertise, mayors, representatives of INA, the Association of Communes and experts to share views and feedback on the programme and the challenges of local authorities in Romania. LAP topics contribute to consolidate the understanding of leadership as a path towards the achievement of good democratic governance and develop the capacities of leaders to share a clear vision for their organisation and understand key challenges.
