The Centre of Expertise, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, associations of local authorities, and the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration (CAPA) is supporting implementation of the National Training Strategy for Local Authorities which it helped develop. The Strategy will support the local government reform which includes municipal amalgamations.

Following the first training which took place in January and focused on civil participation in the decision-making process, a second training of trainers and local authorities took place at CAPA, between 24-27 February. The training was focused on Human Resources Management, based on the CoE toolkit.

The next session in March will provide training on Performance Management.
