On 4 and 5 March 2024, the CEPEJ Working Group on Cyberjustice and Artificial Intelligence (AI) (CEPEJ-GT-CYBERJUST) met for the first time under its mandate 2024-2025. Maria Giuliana Civinini (Italy) was elected president of the group whose other members are Pedro Alexandre Monteiro Almeida (Portugal), Camille le Douaron (France), Bojan Muršec (Slovenia), Jan Spoenle (Germany), Jeannette Verspui (Netherlands) and deputy members Kata Bencz (Hungary), Leonard Caruana (Malta). The members agreed on the first tasks to be carried out in order to implement the Activity Programme, which will concern the following themes: the electronic publication of judicial decisions, the “Digital Divide”, “Tech” skills needs of judicial professionals, Generative AI in the field of justice in view of its potential applied in controlled environments and its risks in uncontrolled settings, videoconferencing in judicial proceedings. The CEPEJ-GT-CYBERJUST will also continue to work within the framework of the Resource Centre on Cyberjustice and Artificial Intelligence, the European Cyberjustice Network (ECN).
