On 23 November 2023, the CEPEJ's European Cyberjustice Network (ECN) held its annual meeting to exchange on emerging issues in cyberjustice and to present and discuss the “Guide on judicial e-auctions”, adopted by the CEPEJ at its June plenary meeting.
This year’s keynote was given by Mireille Hildebrandt, Professor on ‘Interfacing Law and Technology’ at Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) on how artificial intelligence (AI) could contribute to cyberjustice in the context of the digital transformation of the judiciary, the public prosecutor’s office, private law enforcement procedures and the legislature, followed by a discussion with the participants.
The ECN is the CEPEJ’s forum for exchange and mutual learning on the digital transformation of judiciaries in line with Human Rights standards, composed of experts and practitioners directly involved in the digitalisation of courts.
