A round table to present the report on data protection and transparency in Albanian court proceedings, written by Council of Europe expert Graham Sutton took place on 17 February 2016 in Tirana. The report provides an overview of the current situation in Albania regarding access to information, management of courts’ information, and laws, and it contains recommendations on relevant policies and the electronic information management system, in order to harmonize the current national practices with Council of Europe and wider European standards. Representatives of the Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (IDRA), of the Ministry of Justice, of the High Council of Justice, of Albanian Courts, of the General Prosecution Office, of the Office for Judicial Budget Administration and of International organisations working in Albania all attended the round table.
