A round table to discuss the report drafted by the team of Council of Europe CEPEJ experts, under M. Marco Velicogna’s leadership, took place on 2 March 2016 in Tirana. The report focuses on issues of judicial administration in Albania and provides an overview of the legal and institutional framework relating to court organisation and infrastructure. It assesses in particular the current situation with regard to staff capacities (judicial and non-judicial staff), their functions and responsibilities, court management and organisation, case management, and suggests ways of addressing current challenges in the light of international standards and European best practices. Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, of the High Council of Justice, of Albanian Courts, of the Office for Judicial Budget Administration and of International organisations working in Albania attended the round table.
