A Seminar organised in the framework of the joint EU/CoE project “Support to Efficiency of Justice – SEJ” and in cooperation with the Lisbon’s Network of the CoE (in partnership with the School of Magistrates of Albania) and a number of European judicial and prosecutorial (J&P) training institutions took place in Tirana, Albania on 20 July 2015. The aim of the Seminar was to bring to the attention of Albanian authorities and Albanian judges and prosecutors, as well as other relevant stakeholders, the current evolution in judicial and prosecutorial training in Europe, sharing the CoE and European standards and best practices.
The Seminar is the first step to promote the full insertion of the Albanian School of Magistrates in the cultural and operational circuits which, in Europe, allow sharing of experience, mutual awareness, and on-the-field cooperation in the area of judicial and prosecutorial training, while fully respecting the principle of full autonomy of the national authorities in devising and organising their own training.
