The CEPEJ organised a workshop on judicial communication for pilot courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The CEPEJ organised, on 24 May 2024, an online workshop for representatives of the 3 project pilot courts of the CEPEJ cooperation project in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Cazin, Trebinje and Sokolac courts) on importance and benefits of a communication strategy in courts and good judicial communication practices particularly with a view to strengthening citizens’ confidence in justice .

Court secretaries and staff in charge of communication and public relations of the respective courts got familiarized and discussed the CEPEJ Guide on communication with the media and the public for courts and prosecuting authorities.

The workshop also served as an opportunity to discuss the first drafts of communication strategies prepared by the courts, the finalisation of which will be supported.

This activity was organised by the BiHSEJ action “Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHSEJ)in the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye (Horizontal Facility III), co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
