Transparent and Efficient Citizen-Friendly Judiciary

The Municipal Court in Tuzla hosted a two-day central event in Bosnia and Herzegovina marking the "European Day of Justice". On the first day, the event consisted of two panels. The subject of the first panel was "Improving the transparency of the work of judicial institutions". At this panel, the participants were representatives of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, court presidents, chief prosecutors and spokespersons of judicial institutions from Tuzla and the nearby area.
In addition, the second panel was "How to solve corruption and organized crime cases more efficiently – challenges and perspectives". The participants of this panel were representatives of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, judicial institutions, the Ministry of Justice and police agencies.
On the second day, the court organized two panels for citizens, law students, and primary and secondary school students. Citizens and law students from Tuzla received information about the work of courts and prosecutor's offices, the integrity of judges and prosecutors and their code of ethics. Furthermore, students of local secondary and primary schools spoke with judges and prosecutors about the work of judicial institutions and prevention of domestic violence and violence among young people.

Court open day
Cantonal Court in Novi Travnik in the capacity of Bosnia and Herzegovina representative in the European Network of Pilot Courts will celebrate this year`s European Day of Justice.

Free access to citizens and organized tours of high school and law school students.
The representatives of the court will inform interested persons and students with the work of the court, with the focus on the presentation of court activities regarding the implementation of the Strategy for improving gender equality in the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Round Table will be organized by the with the cooperation and support of the Center of Women's Rights Zenica and will bring together representatives of ministries, courts, prosecutors' offices, police departments, centers for social work, and other, governmental and non-governmental organizations in Central Bosnia Canton.
