Back Court Coaching Project: Improving the Safety and Security in Albanian Courts

Court Coaching Project: Improving the Safety and Security in Albanian Courts

From 12 to 13 November 2018, CEPEJ international experts Pierre Laporte and Michel Perchepied will present and discuss their final report on court security with various beneficiaries and partners in Tirana. The report and accompanying recommendations are based on the experts’ findings from previous missions, as well as subsequent feedback from stakeholders. It draws on the CEPEJ Guidelines on the organisation and accessibility of court premises.

The Albanian participants will include court presidents, representatives from the General Prosecution Office, Ministry of Justice, High Council of Justice, USAID and EURALIUS amongst others.

This activity is taking place in the framework of the SEJ II Action “Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the justice system in Albania”, which is part of the programme "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
